Importing Personal and Household effects into New Zealand
No customs charges for new persons arriving in New Zealand or residents returning from an overseas absence of not less than 21 months,

Documents Required:

	Copy of Passport (photograph page)
	Baggage Sufferance form and customs declaration
	Quarantine declaration
	Inventory / Packing list

New Zealand Agriculture Information
To protect New Zealand’s “clean & green” environment, MAF Bio security will examine the inventory that accompanies your shipment and depending upon the contents, you shipment maybe subject to inspection and possible fumigation.

Items of interest to inspectors include all items that may have come into contact with soil such as gardening equipment, bicycles, scooters, sports and camping equipment, golf clubs, buggies, brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, horse riding gear, outdoor furniture Etc. These items should be thoroughly cleaned prior to shipment.

Do not ship cane ware unless it has been commercially manufactured, items such as baskets bought at local markets are likely to require fumigation.

	Inflammable goods and substances
	Pistols & Revolvers (rifles and shotguns will need a permit)
	Plants, seeds and plant material
	Ivory , tortoise or turtle shell in any form
	All foodstuffs, perishables or otherwise

Transit Times

Groupage – share a container service to 10-14 weeks door to door

Sole use containers 6 – 9 weeks port to port. There is a weekly service for FCL’s.
